Student Services

The Innovation Centre: StudentsThe core service of the StFX Extension Innovation and Enterprise Centre advisory services for students is idea generation and evaluation. Knowing how to generate and evaluate ideas will support the development of new products, businesses, and social enterprises. Our business counsellors have undertaken extensive training and have real life experience operating small businesses. Our business counselling service is offered at no charge to students and budding young entrepreneurs attending StFX University, local high schools, and Nova Scotia Community Colleges (NSCC) campuses located within Northeastern Nova Scotia. We provide assistance in developing new ideas for products and services, connecting you with the appropriate resources for taking your idea further, conducting preliminary feasibility studies, developing pricing and product strategies, assessing your business management skill level and training needs, preparing market research and a business plan, and business start-up.
