CM Marine Safety Equipment is a lifejacket company that will create life jackets made specifically for commercial fishing. The lifejackets will be made to meet the everyday needs of fishermen to ensure their safety.

 CM Marine Safety Equipment’s lifejacket differs from those on the market as it will be integrated into the oil gear that the fishermen already wear versus worn separately like other traditional lifejackets. Ben was inspired to create this product by the stories of his grandfather and great grandfather who both nearly drowned while fishing.

By the end of his Wallace Internship, Ben hopes to have a working prototype and begin the patent process. Within five years, his goal is to be selling his product online and within retail stores across Eastern Canada.
